I was thinking about this the other day. So the iMP is downloading DRM'd
WMV's which you have to aquire a license for to watch. If you try to play
an unlicensed file through media player directly you get a message saying
you have to use the IMP to aquire licenses. Once you have the license via
the IMP though it plays in Media Player or the IMP straight away. Surely
someone has already written a player or tool that can transcode the files
to DIVX or somot.
I've been using the iMP since the 18th and have to admit its pretty good.
I've used eMule for the last couple of years for TV and always thought that
to have a good interface. But the iMPs extra program information, Series
link etc, just makes choosing what to download so much nicer. Though it is
a little clunky I think due to it using web server technology to present
the TV guide.
