Might not be obvious but for the 'one speaker' rooms it's necessary to
run a stereo pair of cables if you want to use the single stereo type
of speaker such as:

Sensibleto do so anyway even if you only intend putting in mono at
first - but blending stero to mono seems to be a bit of a pain so at a
reasonable price something like the above works. (I used this one on
that logic and am very pleased with it.)

Ive also used this Russound speaker:

for bedrooms and found then very acceptable.  They seened to be value
at the 'quality end' of the spectrum.
