On the sinks, we've decided to go for a Corian derivative worktop -
the
sink is part of the worktop - seamless. And seamless upstands too.

I'll check out the hob...

We got the package with a cooker hood, the hob controls the lights and
fan on the hood by infra red, automatically speed changes the fan
according to hob power levels.

we got ours from http://applianceplanet.co.uk/ but
that was at the end
of 2004.

also you mentioned sinks the other day, we bought Blanco sinks made from
granite particles. Nova 5s and Axis 6S. These have worked well with the
granite worktops we had put in.
