I think Mark M changed his for a 'proper cpu fan' - can't give any
more
detail there.

I removed the fan from mine and put on a larger fanless heat sink that I
found on an old Dell machine with the same processor - actually that is not
true it had a 500Mhz processor so I used that too. I put a silent variable
speed case fan on the rear of the case inside the lid to force air out
through the vent holes. The fan speed is set by a temperature sensor which
I
poked down into the fins of the heat sink. With a similar PSU replacement
to
yours there was enough air coming in for good circulation. The fan seems to
stay down at a low speed, the heat sink does not seem to radiate much heat
(perhaps I should check with the thing switched on! (joke))
