802.11b?  If so, the most you'll ever see (when connected at
"11Mbps")
is around 5.5-6Mbps.  Solution?  Upgrade to 802.11g.

Now I've read that, it's a little different.  Is it a 10Mbps connection
to the router?  Is that plugged directly into the modem?  Alternatively,
it could be a duplex issue.
