I don't have X10 to worry about. I'm going to use a xAP NetIOM for inputs,
and the same device uses relays to turn the lights on and off. I've not
soldered up the relay board yet though!

When you're ready for production, I'll take a few ;-)
I'll see how I get on with a PIR, and evaluate from there. I need to
solder up that relay board first though, otherwise the automated lighting
will never get off the ground!
