Hiya Paul,
If you are not using w2k3 SBS (small business server) - migrating AD to
new hardware is a doddle - Its as easy as installing w2k3 on your new
box, join it to your existing domain as you would do a PC, then run
'DCPromo' on it - say you want to be a dc in an existing domain and
whalla! done! - then you just need to move over resources (shares /
printers / DNS / wins) but that's a case of file copying and installing
from your windows cd.

If your running SBS then your only bet (I believe) is to create a new
sbs server in its own domain and use Microsoft's Active Directory
Migration Tool to copy your resources (pc's / user accounts) to the new
domain. Its a bit of a ball ache using this but it supposedly works ok :)
