Hiya Noel!
If you have a new house - then you will need an alarm to go with it??
I haven't done this yet - but I'm getting there. I was thinking of
using a Comfort alarm with the outside intercom attached. This then
going back to the main control unit which - iirc - can hook into your
phones. This then being linked back into my existing Asterisk phone
system as an extension that would ring the phones and display relevant
messages on my Slimp3 and freeview decoder for the main tv - all with
caller ID of 'Door' and maybe a snapshot from the camera embedded on the
tv popup.

This is all theory at the mo as the only thing I have running is
Asterisk - which it good fun in itself! (just got text to speech running !)
