RE: LED lighting getting closer...

Shouldn=92t be long actually.

=20

That=92s the site where I got my previous LED MR16 replacement=85 It cost
m=
e
about =A313, and those ones (the 60 Lumen 30 LED ones) are now for sale at
=A36.99.

=20

That was only about 6 months ago.

=20

This is one seriously cool field =96 the light from these is bright crisp
a=
nd
slightly blue, not like the sickly yellow you get for the run of the mill
low energy bulbs.

=20

It=92s not going to be too far away now that I can happily swap out the 5
x=
20
watt lamps on my dining room light for 5 x 5 Watt Luxeon Star based units =
=96
a pretty dramatic saving.

=20

It=92s nice to see 240V compatible replacements appearing too =96 although
=
these
are still the previous generation of LEDs rather than the Luxeons.

Subject: [ukha_d] LED lighting getting closer...

=20

It looks like LEDs as replacements for halogen LV lighting are getting=20
closer. I just came across this:

http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?
products_id=3D1337&osCsid=3Da06ea0326527b5080ed890aa75e26f4f

20W and fully dimmable. Slight issue with the price though. I think=20
I'll wait a while for the 240v 50W version to come out at a pricepoint=20
of =A310 or so!
