X10 Appliance Modules

  • Subject: X10 Appliance Modules

Hi,

I've just upgraded an X10 controlled table lamp to a compact
fluorescent and came down in the middle of the night to see it flashing
even though the applicance module was off.

I found an old thread (from 2000) indicating that this is due to the
low impedence of the lamp and a current sensing 'feature' of the
Appliance Module that could be remedied by breaking an internal
connection in the X10 unit.

Is this still the appropriate course of action for this and is there a
set of instructions out there (the thread by Mr Doxey and Steve Morgan
was not necessarily conclusive...)?

Happy New Year everyone,

Cheers

Pete
