RE: AH Forums Upgrade - Software?
Last time I looked, vBulletin didn't have the mail integration thing
working
- something that PHPBB now has nailed with "Mail2Forum".
I run a couple of (non HA related) BB's - in one case with MediaWiki
(suitably skinned to provide the website as well as a wiki, PHPBB as a
forum
with Mail2Forum integrated - the mailing lists are 100% flawless, and have
eliminated all of the usual Yahoo aggro.
Perhaps not the ideal solution, as it took a fair bit of hacking to make it
work, and is heavily modded (making upgrades a little tricker) but on the
whole, a very stable and solid solution.
That being said, vBulletin is pretty much the Gold Standard - I have
moderated on a couple of VB Boards, and it's *very* nice.
