HTPC Picture Quality

I'm in the final stages of setting up my HTPC, and before taking the
plunge and buying a large LCD screen, I've been testing it on an LCD
monitor. The image is sharp and vibrant when displaying menus, but when
playing DVDs it looks awful - every artifact is there to see as clear as
anything. On my old CRT monitor these artifacts are almost unnoticeable.

My worry is that if I buy a large screen and hook it up, the picture
will be so bad that the WAF will evaporate immediately.

So, is there anything that can be done (I'm already running Nvidia's
purevideo, so I'm not sure there will be), or will an LCD TV hide the
artifacts better than my monitor does?

Mal
