I tried cracking the AM12 open and following the instructions, but my
unit
does not have the link that I'm supposed to cut - it was never installed as
the position on the PCB is there for it.
Might have to resort to another X10^2 unit, just as well lets.. have a
winter sale on!
Cheers
Pete

I had a similar problem recently with a set of LED Christmas lights
(<5W) which were still illuminated (at partial brightness) when the
module was off. I tried disabling local control (following the
instructions at http://www.automate <http://www.automatestuff.com/>
stuff.com/) but that didn't solve
the problem, so I switched to one of the new style X10^2 type modules
(available from http://www.letsauto <http://www.letsautomate.com/>
mate.com/
or http://www.automati
<http://www.automation-> on-
at-home.com/) which works fine.
It may also be possible to use a more recent standard X10 appliance
module - see http://tinyurl.
<http://tinyurl.com/y6sfc6>
com/y6sfc6 for more
details.
Hope this helps.
