RGBLED Project

Hi Guys

For those who might be interested in DIY RGBLED Lighting i thought i should
mention the following......
As i have mentioned in a previous post Gerry has exhausted his supply of
RGBLED Boards and he is currently developing a new RGBLED Controller ..
His current controller can handle up to 13 RGBLED,s @ 20mA per color but
the kit did include 4 surface mount pwm chips......

The new RGBLED Board can handle up to 10 RGBLED,s and i believe the current
can be controlled from 1.5mA to approx 120mA per colour and the 2 pwm
chips required are standard dip ....no fiddly soldering......So if i have
my facts right it means that up to 6 standard RGBLED,s could be connected
to
a single output.......Obviously the chip wouldnt be able to deliver that
current to all outputs at once (nearly 2 amps) ...........Gerry is
currently
looking into the total currentthe chip will be able to deliver......

Im currently working on converting a couple of rock lights into RGBLED to
install around the garden pond ....I will be putting 6 leds in each rock
light...that means using 12 of the 13 outputs on a RGBLED......whereas with
the new board i can use 2 outputs for the rock lights and also sprinkle
quite a few RGBLED Stems round the pond as well..;-)

More Soon
Frank
