New Linitx Screen of Death !

Well, my ThinkPad came back from repair. Which was quick.
And the replacement Touchscreen arrived. I know I said - to be sure- I'll
plug it into the older T30.
So, I took the combo VGA lead thing (power supply still in the box -
touchscreen still in the box) and plugged it in.
Bang ! Thinkpad kills itself.
They cant have had 2 touchscreen with dodgy combo leads - or mebe there is
some weird incompatibility with ThinkPads ? Seems unlikely the Thinkpad
has an issue...
I'll speak to Linitx - but I cant help but think they wont be able to do
much apart from take it back :-(
