'HD Ready' is controlled (by the EICTA) but people fall over when they
see 'HD Compatable' and think they are getting the real deal. Also 'HD
Ready' only requires a '720p & 1080i analogue component input', note
the analogue bit. This means that if the panel can display the right
resolution over scart then it can be granted the 'HD Ready' licence.
It states nothing about HDCP so you can actually buy a 'HD Ready'
panel that won't work with Sky+ HD. All very confusing.

Yep, my bad, wrote that down wrong. It should of said that Sky+ HD
will be supporting component only for 'Sky's own content' and this is
rumoured to be dropped at a later date.
