Fair enough! I was on Panther for about 8 months before upgrading to
Tiger, in all fairness I don't nail my ibook intensively like I know
some friends do who are also into music production. I know a number
of them are still on Panther largely I believe to software issues if
they upgrade to Tiger.

I think as and when I get back into my video editing and production
then maybe I'll see some limitations but for me its been like rock!

currently im loving the top slogan on apple.com

"What's an intel chip doing in a mac?......A lot more than it ever did
in a pc!!"

My next computer will definitely be an imac. That'll be when I move
into my own house and can relegate the pc to being just a server,
starting to make a list of currently PC only tasks then i can look
into ways of making them doable on the mac. Some things like making a
quick cd image for an audio cd then importing it into itunes (i.e.
when downloading music that hasnt been titled and artisted) I can't
figure out how to do on the mac, similarly with dvd ripping, nothing
quite as good as dvd shrink for my mind!

Cheers
Noel

releases of OSX and tiger was a disappointment (pretty much the
consensus amongst users). Don't get me wrong its still beautiful. With
each release after tiger things have got better hoping 10.4.4 is no
exception.
