[OT] help setting up Bittorrent client

  • Subject: [OT] help setting up Bittorrent client

I've just gone back to using a Bittorrent client to grab some files - I'm
using ABC (Another Bittorrent Client). I have a Vigor 2600G router for
connection to the internet and seem to be having problems opening up ports
to speed things along. My client shows that I have no external connections
for any file I'm downloading and the various faq's suggest this is because
I
don't have the relevant ports open. I've tried using UPNP to let the router
and client sort this out but it did not seem to make any difference. I then
tried manually opening the port range instead and this did not work.
Finally
I tried individual port forwarding but again no success. Can anyone give me
any pointers?

Neil B.
