I did it this way (BTW, I use ABC 3.1... YMMV):

Go into ABC and look at the port it is set to use (mine is 35567)

Set your firewall to forward that port to your PC's internal IP address.

RESTART ABC  (it took me a while to figure out that this is the quickest
way to re-announce to your peers that you are available.)

I've just gone back to using a Bittorrent client to grab some files -
I'm using ABC (Another Bittorrent Client). I have a Vigor 2600G router
for connection to the internet and seem to be having problems opening up
ports to speed things along. My client shows that I have no external
connections for any file I'm downloading and the various faq's suggest
this is because I don't have the relevant ports open. I've tried using
UPNP to let the router and client sort this out but it did not seem to
make any difference. I then tried manually opening the port range
instead and this did not work. Finally I tried individual port
forwarding but again no success. Can anyone give me any pointers?
