What were the different types of modulator you tried? And which one
worked?!

That's exactly what I do, feeding to a modulator and to geovision. Although
I have two different types of modulator, and feeding the
split signal to one worked fine, but the other caused some sort of feedback
that ruined the signal for both the modulator and
geovision.
