XDA Question

  • Subject: XDA Question

Hi all,

A friend is currently out of the country with his XDA IIs (IIRC) and has
had to reboot it twice so far due to "low backup battery". He
thinks
it's still in "flight-safe" mode as he doesn't want to use the
phone
while he's away, but the main battery says 100% / backup battery 0%.

Has anyone else experienced this? One of his thoughts was that the
camera was getting switched on in his pocket, although that should
shutdown if inactive. Does anyone know what form the backup battery
takes? Is it like a DECT phone battery? A button cell? Something else
soldered to the main board of the phone? Is a loose connection
possible/likely?

Thanks,

Tim.
