Stuart,

Still haven't watched the file I downloaded...

It was in the back of my mind it was p2p... This could be an issue for
many users especially as I have not seen anything that would enable you
to throttle the service.

I use BitTorrent (for downloading SYStm programs) and when I first
launched the service it took the whole of my available bandwidth making
the connection almost un-useable for anything else... What does the
Sky/Kservice do to limit this happening?

Nigel

I had tried it and downloaded hell boy which was watchable on the pc.
Having read more about it on tinternet its actually a p2p service and
the
file that sits on your c drive is being constantly uploaded to other sky
bb
users even when the app isnt running! Theres a service called
kservice.exe
which happily chugs along using your bandwidth and for those with capped
or
or 1-2gb download limits I can see this causing a problem if the upload
is
counted towards their total.

Considering how much we pay sky id expected them to at least host it off
their own servers. Fair enough if they tell you youll be hosting the
file
when you sign up but I belive its buried in their t&c's somewhere.

Ho hum

stu
