Many thanks for testing that, much appreciated
My testing on winxp went no where, as the hard drive failed on the pc! I'm
not having much luck with hard drives at the moment
I did try an older version of the ubcore drivers on w2k3 and it did see one
of the slaves this time but not the other
I've decided to give up and go down the mini-mac route given your results
Fortunately the spin up time will be fine for me as my front end software
pulls all the different drives contents into a database so I've no need to
treat them all as as single drive
The one fly in the ointment at the moment is the cover images, but I can
change the software to cache a local copy. That way the drives will only be
accessed when an iso is actually mounted for play back
Many thanks
Tony
