That's odd, I found the complete opposite, I've lost count of the times
I've
used AVG to clean up a machine with Norton already installed :)
Note that AVG Free edition is only free for personal home use, not
unrestricted free use.
The paid version offers better updates though, I've had as many as 5 update
notifications per day from Grisoft on occasions (guess all the virus
writers
must release together !)
I could possibly be biased as we're an AVG reseller, however it's served me
& my customers faithfully for a number of years.
