RE: 1-Wire



You only need to position it around an inch from the wall so that it is not
affected by surface temperature of the brickwork and is in free air. Wind
chill is not a factor unless the sensor gets wet/moist as it's the
increased
rate of evaporation caused by the wind that creates the chill effect.

Yep, I'm going to poke it out through a hole in the gable end from the
loft on the north side.

Sounds like I should mount it on the end of a stick of some sort to get
it away from the wall. Perhaps thermal epoxied into the end of a thin
bit of tube (how long though?).

If it's too far out from the wall, won't the reading be affected by wind
chill?
