Hi all
I want to send a video signal from a hand held digital camera to a
"base
station"
The purpose is to set up a "roving camera" in a small village
hall. We
want to be able to transmit the output from the camera to the gallery,
feed it in to a video mixer, the output of which goes to a projector.
The idea is that kids will be able to see themselves dancing etc on the
"screen".
Max range is about 15 M although I could half that by dangling the
receiver in the centre of the hall and cabling back to the gallery.
We tried a wired solution which worked OK but because of the number of
people and the movement, it's not really viable.
Someone mentioned bluetooth but I'm not sure that the range would be OK
or the signal reliable enough, let alone the data rate required for live
video.
The transmitter would need to be battery powered so that it can be
carried around by the cameraman - sorry! - cameraperson
So, can the collective conscience of the great pool of knowledge AKA
ukha_d come up with a solution.
Oh, of course, because it's a village hall, budget is tight!
TIA
Regards
Neil
