I have bought a USB DVB-T card for my PC and a little aerial and booster to
plug in to it. Needless to say the signal is so weak that only a handful of
freeview channels are accessible and then only intermittently. The answer
is
to plug in my roof aerial except the room in which the PC sits is about as
far away from the point at which the aerial cable enters the building as is
possible. We are moving out in a month or so to get the house renovated and
I will have more points installed. In the meantime SWMBO will not tolerate
cable snaking across the floor just so I can hide from her my home office
watching the Simpsons.
What would be ideal would be a box that plugged into an existing point and
effectively re-broadcast the TV signal within the house so the pathetic
little aerial I have attached to the PC is given a helping hand. Does such
a
thing exist?
Sean
