Re lighting - you really want a soft light source for best results - there
are a number of soft light boxes on the market. Noticed this new one the
other day:

http://www.lowelego.com/

Available in the UK from:

http://www.prokit.co.uk/

(nasty web site but shop is OK)

There are other all-in-one solutions that feature an integrated
lightbox/backdrop/cyc etc exactly for the kind of thing you want. Lighting
is one of the most important aspects to getting great shots with an average
camera.

Paul.
