On your server, right click one of the SC101 drives (which, as far as your
server is concerned is a local drive), and select 'properties'.  Go to the
'Sharing' tab of the popup window, and mark the drive as shared (give it a
name such as NAS1 or something).  You might want to also click on the
'Permissions' button here and give write access, as I think by default XP
only gives read access to shares.

Then, on your client(s), go to the 'tools' menu in File Explorer, and
select

'Map networked drive'.  then in 'folder' use the notation
'\\<servername>\NAS1' (where <servername> is the name of your
server! - You
can use the IP address if you'd rather).  That'll map the drive to which
ever drive letter you choose.

The only issue I've come across is any data you transfer to/from the SC101
will go via the server (rather than directly to the SC101)- But to be
honest, they're so slow anyway, you probably won't notice a difference! :-)

I have 3 SC101s which I use to store video.  My 'video server' is the
machine with the SC101 client software installed, and if I ever need to
access the drives from a different machine, I use the above method.  I much
prefer is as I don't like to have to install additional software on my
other

machines (also means I can access them via a PDA or whatever if I need to).
