RE: [ukha_d] Which Media Center ?

Shaf,

You can find out the model from the serial number..other than that there
is=
no way that I know of.
If you google for it you should find it .. try xbox-hq. (I'm at work at
the=
moment and they monitor internet access so I can't search atm).
=A340-50 sounds a good buy to me, although the ones I saw in Game where
onl=
y =A360-70 with a warranty.. you pays your money and take your chance :)
The XBox controller ports are all infact USB ports, they just have a
differ=
ent connector on them. You can buy convertor cables or make your own
(googl=
e).
The XBox has a built in network port, so just connect a wireless bridge/AP
=
to it. I had my TiVo linked up to my house network for a short while via
my=
laptop wifi connection. Just plugged the cat5 cable into the lappy and the=
n bridged the wifi and wired network connections. Worked a treat, but I
had=
to leave the lappy turned on all the time of course.

Seen a couple of xboxs for sale around the 40-50 squid mark sound
reasonable ?
=09
Some last q's : does the xbox have usb ? and obviously must have network ?
=09
Was thinking of a wifi card for it via usb and compiling up a kernel to
handle it.
