I bought the one from Screwfix for (then) 149 quid.  Used it to cut
quite a few channels then sent it back under their 30 day no-quibble
satisfaction promise.  It was basically pants - underpowered, very noisy
(even when not cutting) and didn't really make the job easier :/

I bought a 9 inch angle grinder and used my SDS drill with the chisel
and channelling attachments - much easier even if my cuts weren't quite
as parallel ;)

I think if you want a wall chaser, you're going to have to bite the
bullet and spend 350 quid plus on a decent one.  The el-cheapo ones IMO
simply don't cut the mustard, as much as I'd like them to.
