Re: Real HA - central heating control by the radiator

Well, it's all gone dead on this thread, but I've got next week off to
do some more re-wiring and radiators are on my mind - can't think why
inthis heat !

As far as I can tell the Myson TRV3 valve seems to have disapeared.
Danfoss valves are still listed, and Oventrop have some similar
devices but no tech info on the web. And Hometronic has been
mentioned.

I'm using an Idratek system so can handle On/Off or proportional. My
thoughts currently are to run both a CAT-5 and a T+E to somewhere near
each radiator, with a central transformer. I think I could probably
get the 24V over the Cat-5, but better safe than sorry.

But I am also intrigued by the Hometronic solution - is there any
gateway to it's controller eg via RS-232 ?

Anyone found anything else before I make some holes in the wall :-)

Cheers,

David
