Andy - Thanks for that link! It's good to know I'm not the only one
suffering from this problem.
I originally went for the Lacie because it seemed Lounge friendly with
no whirring fan, making it ideal for use with XP Media Center. Looks
like the lack of fan has been the death of it.
A friend of a friend happens to work for a data restoration company
who's promised me a good private deal.... Fingers crossed!
