Re: Need help to automate my food management.



The retailers are, quite understandably, very protective about
their product files and prices.

So, no public database of bar codes, descriptions  and prices
for all the major supermarkets likely anytime soon.

Keeping any DIY database up to date with new products, flash
packs, product substitutes, WIGIG's etc., would be impossible.

And unless you always shop at the same place or buy branded,
the Tesco beans have a different bar code to the Sainsbury's...
