I'm aware of the UPC db, back in 2002 when this all first surfaced the info
in it was very US specific, however maybe this has now changed/

Perhaps we can use this as a base, with the ability to add, and then submit
additions back to the UPCdb.

For previous discussions check the archive, sometime in 2002 iirc.
