Re: Logitech Harmony 895 - shipping when?

The comms behind the H895 has been completly rubbish. I've been=20
harassing Logitech on a weekly basis.=20
Many wanna be owners are under the illusion they will get a heavily=20
bugged firmware, hence why the UK release is delayed. But our peers=20
in Europe have been using the Harmony 895 successfully without any=20
problems.=20
I'm a regular at RemoteCentral and things now look stable. Most of=20
the bugs have been surrounding the wireless receiver as opposed to=20
the actual remote (you'll find a DarkKnight over at rc.com!)
Komplett.co.uk sent me a confirmation email yesterday that my H895=20
has been shipped. I expect to receive it tommorow (Thursday), but I=20
beleive it is the European model they'll be shipping. I first=20
cancelled my order after realising this (they ship a Euro to UK=20
adapter plug free with it), but then again, I've not found a better=20
price anywhere else. =A3159 is a very good price considering one of=20
the main distributors InvisionUK (who had a siggnificant presence as=20
the Smart Home Show) were selling these for =A3239! (pre-orders only)
Keep an eye on the part number. Komplett are shipping the second one=20
on this list.
Harmony 895 UK part number : 966193-0120
Harmony 895 EU/IE part number : 966193-0914
Wireless AV Receiver UK part number : 966195-??? (probbably 0120)
Wireless EU/IE Receiver part number : 966195-0914
According to InvisionUK, the UK model is out this week (well that's=20
what they told me at the show). To spend =A380 extra on the same=20
underlying product with an adapter difference isn't justified in my=20
book.=20
Hope this helps.
