[OT] Processor Specs

Sorry for the OT post but it is about the Media Centre PC I am
building.....

I am finally getting round to building a MCE PC. I have been getting all
the
components I need and started to put it together last weekend.

Now, I have had no need to build my own PC for a few years. So I am not
quite as up to date with whats new in Intel land as I was. But I got a new
ASUS m/board and Intel P4 640 socket 775 3.2Ghz processor.

I was under the impression that this was a single core processor, although
the motherboard supports dual core, as that was all I could afford. The box
confirms this is the processor I have got.

Yet in Device Manager, two processors are listed. In fact Task Manager
lists
2 processors as well...

Is this normal? I have a couple of IBM machines and a Compaq that are all
P4's but only list one processor.

Thanks

Mark.
