[OT] Printer recommendations...

OK - I've been limping along my old HP2000C inkjet for too long now and I'm
down to the last ink cart so it's time for a change.

Anyone got any recommendations a replacement that is well built and can be
used as a general day to day printer? I don't need photo printing or CD
printing (I have an Epson R800 for that) and I have a HP5Si for rattling
off
big batches of monochrome printing (such as manuals).

I'm looking for something that fits the following criteria:

1) Is reasonably solidly built - I don't like printers which sound like
splintering bamboo sticks when in use which is why I tend not to use Epsons
as main printers but maybe you know of one which doesn't?

2) Has a decent paper capacity.

3) Ideally has separate ink carts for each colour and also ideally has
cheap
third party carts available for it.

4) Has a flat, covered paper tray so that paper sitting in the printer for
printing on doesn't curl and doesn't get dusty (as it tends to do with
exposed inclined paper trays that just have a support in the middle).

5) Networking is not important but would be nice ... Parallel would be
preferred but USB or firewire is fine.

6) Duplex printing would be nice but, again, not important.

Any suggestions gratefully received...

Phil
