Yes - a hard wired one - but it's via my Kustom multi zone amp. The
wall controllers in each room (only 6 zones though) have IR receive and
transmit. I used some opto isolators and 'tapped' into the IR channels - so
that HV is now part of the IR network and can receive and send IR to any of
these supported rooms.

I wasn't planning to use the IR blaster just yet as there's no need - the
895 will live in the AV room where my plasma and main AV kit is. This room
also has a wall controller with the IR receive. In fact, this is how I
control my Sky+ box which is in Node0.

The only time I can see that I need the IR blaster is if I decide to use
some kit in a room not supported by the IR network.

Paul - BTW... When you say you have a IR netwrok in place, do you
mean a hardwired one ?

I have a Xantech touchscreen and IR system which I haven't had the
oppurtunity to completly set up as yet. (I need sign off from SWMBO!)

If you have something similar, it would be interesting to hear if
you can get the Harmony 895 RF->IR blaster to talk to the rest of
your IR network. i.e. instead of connecting an IR emitter to a
device, connect it directly to your IR network using a jack

This would imply you could control the complete wired IR network
using RF.

I think the Xantech IR system uses 12v, whilst the Ocelot one uses
5v. I'm not sure which one you use (Homevision by any chance?) and
whether it would be compatible with the Logitech RF->IR blaster but
it's worth a go.
