Re: HA & SWMBO

Well written Nigel!

I think that says it all.

Generally speaking, if it can be seen and it sparkles SWMBO may see
the benefit of that device. But all the underlying infrastructure to
support it (real time, on-demand, multi-room, intelligent sensors da
da daa da daa) are not seen or valued by her.

Nigel's set up sounds quite advanced. I've only been ventuing into
the HA areana for the past 18 months and recently had my Comfort
alarm and HA system installed.

She always called it 'your gadgety bo11ucks' but one day she told
her work mates about the ability to walk into the hallway when it is
dark and the lights automatically come on. When I heard this, I felt
as proud as I did when I first became a dad!

If it works well, she'll ventually appreciate the benefits.

The upfront costs and infrastructure can be difficult, but stick
with it.
