Nope - there's nothing to stop any "inexperienced" person from
buying any
number of bits of kit and Schneider (as people seem to forget that Clipsal
doesn't exist in the UK - Clipsal is just a brand name of Schneider) is
not in any way nervous of that.
One thing that you should be aware of though is that there is a hefty
financial requirement from any big C-Bus stockist that buys directly from
Schneider - and if you have £100k of a product line sitting on a rack
waiting to be sold then that's £100k that you have tied up unable to
do
anything else.

A few individuals on a tight budget may well do so but generally if you
are "in the business" and you cannot afford to have a failed
module tying
you up from doing other work and with a customer shouting at you because
their lights or hot water don't work then the requirement is usually that
you need to buy from a source that you can rely on to support you quickly
and efficiently...

Then I'm afraid that you fall into the typical group that assumes that the
world goes to some sort of plan ... having spent almost four years at Lets
I've lost track of the number of "urgent" orders on Fridays that
in no
way, shape or form can have been things that just cropped up last minute -
may of which I still cannot see how they cropped up as a 3pm urgent
requirement for Saturday mornings!
In reality even installers and integrators tend to leave ordering kit
until the last minute so that they don't have debits on their company
cards until the very last moment and try to get purchases through into the
next months billing cycle.
