RE: VGA or DVI ?

Chris,

Unlike a CRT monitor, an LCD panel is a digital device; there are
discretely
addressable pixels.

An LCD monitor with both VGA and DVI inputs is actually a digital device
with 'extra' analogue processing.

DVI is a digital interface. As long as the panel is being driven at it's
native resolution, the monitor is able to map the signal directly to the
pixels of the panel. VGA is an analogue signal that requires A-to-D
conversion.

The most obvious difference between the two is that VGA is susceptible to
'jitter' due to timing inaccuracies. DVI isn't.
