I use azureus in exactly this way. It sits on a ver low power PC thats on
24x7. BT is all that PC does.

I have azureus monitoring a directory for new torrents (thats a std config
option). So to start a new torrent I simply copy the *.torrent file to that
directory. The directory is local to the BT PC and I've shared it to allow
access from my main PC, but could easily be on a central server etc.

The rest is fully automatic. I just let Azureus get on with it. Also use
speed scheduler to fit in with my ISPs restrictions on peak-time downloads.

The BT pc is actually on my KVM switch - but I can also monitor by
VNC/Azureus Web Interface. The web interface also allows you to upload a
torrent.

To hijack slightly - does anyone use Azureus or another BT Client on a
remote PC or server? I would like to achieve the following:

* Have the main BT app running on a server, so it's available 24/7 without
a
desktop PC being on.
* Easily browse and load BT files from a desktop PC, having them
automatically transfer to the server and start running (in the queue).
* Manage the queue remotely from a browser etc

Is this already possible?
