RE: can halogen flood lights be dimmed?



Bear in mind that a dimmed halogen lamp will have a shorter life than
one running at full volume - all to do with vaporisation of the metals /
re-integration of the vapours back into the filament.

Halogen lights can be dimmed - however metal halide lamps cannot.
Usually external flood lights use metal halide lamps?
