I don't mind the branding on phones unless it interferes or changes the
UI so much that that it's unworkable.
It would be nice to be able to view the differences between the network
specific and the generic (of which there are generally many reviews
available)
Often, even when viewing in a shop, the assistants can't say what
branding there is, or if there is any at all.

Not too distracting - there's a theme in the T-mobile colours, and a
"Web'n'Walk" shortcut on the main screen.

The web n walk is actually a useful little portal - it pops a few key
mobile
services (beeb news, google etc) into a nice home page.

I haven't changed the theme yet, but it doesn't seem to be locked.

Oh, and the device pre-configures itself for T-mobile 3G and GPRS - no
user
setup needed, it just installs/runs the config packages when it first
starts
up.

What's the network branding like on these?

I presume since it's WM 5 you could just restore and remove it all
anyway?
