Watch out for the KVM's serial speed/format support too - the
AdderLinks
for example support only a couple of popular baud rates/data formats.

BTW...I've been very surprised by how far you can run RS232 successfully
over just a pair of wires..particularly at low speeds.  I wouldn't rule
out 100m but it'd be a case of try it and see.
