Well, my general idea was that I CAN run whatever I need. I don't have
anything there at the moment, but at a minimum I am going to need to
channel the wall for the VGA/Serial/Power, so I could put some CAT5 in
there too.

The other idea to use a laptop wouldn't require anything other than
power. But I don't like the thought of a hot laptop running 24/7.

Good idea.. I actually use one of these for my X10 interface. But....

That could be a problem. It's a far run from the Node0 (which is in an
external building away from the main house) which then goes through
the attic, and then down to the rooms.
