One thing that I have noticed with my Dell and running Vista is that
putting
the system into sleep mode and restarting it is extremely quick, so I guess
quite a bit of stuff is being held in RAM. However, I get the same energy
usage is I do a full shutdown as I doing on putting it to sleep which
doesn't make sense to me.
