Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I looked at a variety of
commercial systems, but the costs are waaay too high for me.
And there's no fun factor in just buying a kit of parts
:-). My present plan is a slow start/fast bit/slow finish
arrangement controlled by micro switches at each end of the
track, plus a 'cushioning' setup to allow the cable mech to
give a bit when the motor stops and the door keeps going.
Ideally I would like the slow/fast/slow part to operate
automatically, but this is going to be too complex
