I once packed a fully working PC into a car, drove it from Wigan to
Surrey and on re-start found the PSU had died on the journey (not even
a click when the mains lead was pushed in...). The PC (nothing
special) had been on 24/7 for a number of years and while it worked
perfectly in its previous location I assume the "trauma" of
moving it
caused something to give up.

Replacing the PSU solved all the problems and it worked again like new.
